The representation set is the central source of information about visual features. Inconsistency between views can obscure what is intended to be shown and create avoidable correction work.
Establish the set of views
Images should use a consistent scale, object orientation, and line convention. Each view should add information to the others rather than introduce conflicting detail.
Manage files and versions
Source files, exports, and amendment notes should follow one version convention. The approval workflow should identify who checks technical consistency, who confirms the final design, and which files are used for the dossier.
Review checklist
- Compare proportions and line work across every view.
- Check for details that appear or disappear unexpectedly.
- Standardize backgrounds, resolution, and file naming.
- Retain the approved set together with amendment history.
